Lagos Tourism Ministry Graces 2025 Cultural Harvest of African Church Bethel
LAGOS, JULY 22, 2025 — The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has reaffirmed its commitment to cultural preservation and interfaith engagement with its participation at the 2025 Cultural/Interstate Harvest of the African Church Arch Cathedral Bethel, Marina, Lagos.
The Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, was represented at the event by a Deputy Director in the Ministry, Mrs. Olajumoke James. The colourful harvest celebration, themed "Harvest of Fruitful Labour," was held on Sunday, July 20, 2025.
The occasion brought together dignitaries, cultural enthusiasts, and members of the African Church community to celebrate faith, tradition, and productive efforts across various sectors.
In her remarks, Mrs. James commended the church for its enduring role in promoting spiritual growth alongside cultural heritage, noting that the harvest celebration aligns with the Ministry’s mandate to foster unity through culture and religious festivals.
She further expressed the Ministry’s readiness to continue supporting platforms that showcase the rich diversity and values of Lagos State.
The annual event featured traditional dances, choral renditions, interstate cultural displays, and presentations from various church groups and invited guests.
