Interswitch Unveils Cutting-Edge Payment Solutions for Hospitality Sector at Hotel Managers Conference 2025
Lagos, Nigeria – August 3, 2025
Interswitch, Africa’s leading technology-driven payments company, has reaffirmed its commitment to driving innovation in the continent’s hospitality industry through tailored digital solutions. The company showcased a suite of advanced payment technologies during the Hotel Managers Conference Africa (HMC) 2025, held from June 28–29 at the Lagos Continental Hotel.
The two-day event convened key stakeholders, hotel executives, and service providers to explore strategies for sustainable growth through technology, strategic collaboration, and global best practices.
Interswitch, participating as a major exhibitor, presented a range of solutions designed to simplify financial operations and improve guest experiences in the hospitality space. Central to its showcase was the Interswitch Smart POS—a high-speed, multifunctional payment terminal equipped for both local and international transactions.
The Smart POS accepts Verve, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, China UnionPay, Discover, Diners Club, and Japan Credit Bureau cards. It also supports USD settlements for foreign transactions, helping hotels efficiently serve international guests. Notably, the terminal features a card-not-present capability that enables secure remote payments—ideal for pre-arrival deposits and incidental charges.
Also highlighted was the Interswitch Payment Gateway, a secure platform that allows hotels to accept online bookings and payments through major global card schemes. With seamless integration capabilities and support for USD settlements, the gateway empowers hospitality operators to cater to international clientele with minimal technical complexity.
Interswitch further demonstrated its bulk disbursement platform, which simplifies payment processes for staff, vendors, and third-party service providers—enhancing operational efficiency across hotel chains and independent establishments.
The Interswitch booth drew considerable interest from hotel owners, finance managers, and key industry decision-makers, many of whom explored partnership opportunities and expressed readiness to adopt the company’s integrated digital infrastructure.
Speaking at the event, Osasere Atohengbe, Vice President of Sales and Account Management at Interswitch, said:
“Our participation at HMC 2025 reinforces our mission to be a technology partner to the hospitality industry. We’re not just offering tools—we’re enabling transformation. It was inspiring to engage with operators who are eager to embrace innovation.”
Already a trusted partner to major players like Eko Hotels, Marriott Hotel, and The George Hotel, Interswitch continues to lead in delivering secure, efficient, and locally relevant payment technologies across Africa.
The company’s participation in the 2025 Hotel Managers Conference marks another milestone in its broader drive to support business growth through inclusive, technology-driven solutions that address sector-specific challenges.
