JMG Powers African Medical Centre of Excellence with 9MW Critical Energy Infrastructure

Abuja, Nigeria – JMG Limited, Nigeria’s leading provider of integrated electro-mechanical solutions, has successfully delivered a robust 9MW power infrastructure to the African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) in Abuja — a state-of-the-art facility set to redefine healthcare delivery across West Africa.

As part of its turnkey deployment, JMG engineered and installed a complete energy system comprising six Mitsubishi 1800kVA diesel generators (Model S16R-PTA2), totaling 10.8MVA, along with Legrand Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems totaling 1,400kVA, designed to support essential medical operations with seamless backup power. The project also featured 4000A synchronization and main LV panels, sub-main panels, capacitor banks, and comprehensive internal and external facility wiring.

Speaking on the significance of the project, Mahmoud Hamadi, General Manager, Electrical & Projects Division at JMG, emphasized the critical role of reliable power in medical facilities.

"In healthcare, critical power is never an afterthought. It requires experience, precision, and flawless execution. From the Mitsubishi generators to the UPS and down to every single power outlet, this infrastructure was built with excellence in mind," he said.

As the official dealer of Mitsubishi diesel and gas generators in Nigeria, JMG supplied and installed all six units for AMCE. Globally recognized for their rugged construction, fuel efficiency, and consistent performance, Mitsubishi generators are a trusted choice for demanding environments, especially in critical sectors like healthcare.

The energy solution deployed at AMCE is fully automated, redundant, and designed to ensure 24/7 operations of life-saving systems, effectively eliminating the risk of power-related disruptions.

This milestone further cements JMG’s reputation as the preferred power infrastructure partner for Nigeria’s most essential sectors, including healthcare, banking, telecommunications, and manufacturing.
