NDLEA Lagos Commander Pays Courtesy Visit to Ayangburen of Ikorodu on 10th Coronation Anniversary

Ikorodu, Lagos – The Lagos State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Commander Abubakar Liman Wali, on Monday, August 11, 2025, led members of his management team on a felicitation visit to the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, His Royal Majesty, Oba Engr. Abdul Kabir Adewale Shotobi, in celebration of the monarch’s 10th coronation anniversary.
Commander Wali commended Oba Shotobi for his enduring leadership and contributions to the preservation of culture and tradition in Ikorodu and Lagos State at large. He prayed for the monarch’s long life and continued wisdom as a father figure and custodian of heritage for generations yet unborn.
As part of the visit, the NDLEA State Commander presented the royal father with a commemorative portrait symbolizing his decade on the throne.
In his response, Oba Shotobi expressed gratitude to Commander Wali and the NDLEA delegation for the honour, describing the visit as a mark of true respect and partnership. The monarch prayed for the agency’s success in the fight against drug abuse, noting that curbing substance misuse would significantly reduce crime and create an enabling environment for peace and development in Lagos and across Nigeria.
