Nigerian Immigration Service Officers Pay Courtesy Visit to Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA Chairman
The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, received officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) on a courtesy visit to his office.
The team, led by the Passport Control Officer, ACI B. M. Abdul, was welcomed by the Chairman alongside the Vice Chairman, Barr. Ade Ayeni, and the Chief of Staff, Hon. Wasiu Olowu.
Speaking during the visit, ACI Abdul commended the Council for its support to the Service within Igbogbo-Baiyeku, while outlining some of the operational needs of the Service in the LCDA. He emphasized that with greater assistance, officers would be able to serve the community more effectively.
In his response, Chairman Aroyewun praised the Immigration officers for their professionalism and positive conduct in the community, particularly around the Passport Office. He assured the Service of the council’s continuous collaboration with federal agencies, noting that such partnerships are vital to improving service delivery to residents.
The Chairman also expressed appreciation to the Adeyanolu family for donating the land that houses the Passport Office, as well as other stakeholders who contributed to the project’s success. He, however, urged the Passport Control Officer to advocate for the upgrade of the existing Front Office into a fully functional Passport Office with expanded facilities.
The visit, which underscored the cordial relationship between the LCDA and the Immigration Service, had in attendance other senior officers, including DSI S. O. Oyebode, DSI J. A. Tafida, ASI Oladosu (PRO), ASI M. K. Ojikutu, and IA2 C. U. Nwogu (Orderly).
