Olowa Strengthens Ties with Ibeju-Lekki Agrarian Communities, Promises Inclusive Development

Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Chairman, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has pledged sustained collaboration with traditional leaders in rural communities to ensure inclusive development across the council area.

Olowa gave the assurance on Friday during a courtesy visit by Baales from Eleranigbe, Arapagi, and Dongo communities, led by Chief Jubril Ogungbo, to his office.

The discussions, which focused on education, healthcare, security, electricity, and infrastructure, highlighted the peculiar challenges of agrarian communities in the hinterlands of Ibeju-Lekki.

Commending the community leaders for their commitment to grassroots development, the Chairman emphasized that his administration’s SHIEELD Agenda (Security, Health, Infrastructure, Education, Empowerment, and Leadership Development) was already yielding results, citing the completed Primary Health Care Centre in Arapagi as an example.

Olowa stressed that the ongoing projects and upcoming initiatives were designed not only to benefit urban centers but also to extend to rural communities often overlooked in developmental planning.

“The aspirations of our people in the hinterlands are integral to our vision for Ibeju-Lekki. We will continue to work hand in hand with our Baales and community leaders to translate their needs into tangible results,” he said.

The visit, according to the Chairman’s media office, reaffirms his administration’s commitment to strengthening traditional institutions as partners in governance and ensuring that development reaches every corner of the local government.
