CNN African Voices Spotlights Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Powered by Globacom



Telecommunications giant, Globacom, is once again celebrating African excellence as its sponsored programme, African Voices Changemakers on CNN International, features one of Nigeria’s most celebrated writers, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

The episode, anchored by CNN’s Larry Madowo, will premiere on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. and will run at different times to cater to global audiences. Repeat broadcasts are scheduled for Sunday, September 21, at 3:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.; Monday, September 22, at 3:00 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.; and the following weekend—Saturday, September 27, at 7:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.; Sunday, September 28, at 3:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.; and Monday, September 29, at 3:00 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.

Adichie, widely acclaimed as one of Africa’s most influential literary figures, has captivated global audiences with works such as Purple Hibiscus, Half of a Yellow Sun, and Americanah. Her writing, known for challenging perspectives and celebrating African identity, continues to spark global conversations on feminism, heritage, and authenticity.

Her forthcoming release, Dream Count, is expected to further cement her reputation as a cultural icon.

The CNN feature, filmed in Nsukka—her hometown and a recurring backdrop in her novels—offers an intimate look at Adichie’s creative journey, inspirations, and enduring impact on African storytelling.
