IGP Egbetokun Lays Foundation for Ultra-Modern Conference Centre at Lagos Police Command Headquarters
The Lagos State Police Command has recorded another milestone as the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, laid the foundation stone for a new ultra-modern IGP Adeolu Olukayode Egbetokun Conference Centre at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja.
The new edifice, named in honour of the Inspector-General, symbolizes his visionary leadership and commitment to modernizing police infrastructure and promoting professionalism across the Nigeria Police Force.
According to a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, the project is designed as a world-class multipurpose facility that will serve as a strategic hub for high-level security meetings, inter-agency coordination, policy formulation sessions, press engagements, and capacity-building programmes.
SP Adebisi noted that the initiative reflects the IGP’s forward-thinking agenda to strengthen institutional frameworks and equip police commands nationwide with modern facilities and operational tools that meet global standards in policing.
Speaking during the foundation-laying ceremony, IGP Egbetokun commended the Lagos State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, for its outstanding performance, administrative discipline, and operational excellence.
He urged other state commands across the country to emulate the Lagos Command’s dedication to innovation and infrastructural advancement, noting that such initiatives are key to building a responsive, efficient, and technologically driven Police Force.
The IGP emphasized that the Nigeria Police Force under his leadership remains committed to continuous reform, capacity development, and infrastructural improvement to ensure officers are better equipped to serve and protect the nation.
