Soludo Hails Former Governor Virgy Etiaba at 83, Describes Her as Trailblazer in Leadership

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has extended heartfelt felicitations to Dame (Dr.) Virgy Etiaba, CON, the former Governor of Anambra State, on the occasion of her 83rd birthday.

In a goodwill message released by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo described Dame Etiaba as a trailblazer whose historic tenure as the first female governor of Anambra State paved the way for women in leadership across Nigeria.

He lauded her “remarkable dedication, vision, and resilience in breaking barriers,” noting that her leadership proved that “true service knows no gender.”

The Governor also commended Dame Etiaba’s lifelong commitment to education, healthcare, and women’s empowerment, stressing that her efforts have touched countless lives and strengthened community development across the state.

“Dame Etiaba’s legacy of service, compassion, and mentorship continues to inspire generations. On this special occasion, I celebrate her wisdom, grace, and enduring impact,” Soludo said.

Governor Soludo wished the former governor good health, happiness, and many more fulfilling years in continued service to humanity.
