2026: Hope on the Horizon — First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Urges Unity, Compassion in New Year Message

The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, peace and compassion as the nation steps into the New Year 2026.

In her New Year message titled “2026: Hope on the Horizon,” Senator Tinubu expressed profound gratitude to God for the gift of a new year, describing it as a season filled with joy, renewed hope and confidence in God’s promises for Nigeria.

Reflecting on the outgoing year, the First Lady commended Nigerians for their resilience, courage and unwavering belief in a better future, despite prevailing challenges. She noted that the determination and creativity of citizens across the country continue to inspire her.

“I am deeply inspired by the women, men and young people across the nation who work tirelessly every day to uplift their families, communities and our country,” she said.

Senator Tinubu urged Nigerians to consciously choose peace, empathy and unity in the year ahead, while prioritising investments in the wellbeing of children, women and vulnerable groups.

She further encouraged citizens to create opportunities within their individual capacities that would allow every Nigerian to live and thrive with dignity.

Reaffirming her optimism about the nation’s future, the First Lady said she believes strongly in Nigeria and called on all citizens to invest in what the country can become.

She concluded by wishing Nigerians a happy and prosperous New Year and prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
