The Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton, Ikeja, was transformed into a hub of colour, culture, and unrestrained excitement on Sunday, December 7, 2025, as Legends Decemba/Mainland Laffs 3.0 took centre stage. The much-anticipated event drew a massive crowd and reaffirmed its status as one of Lagos Mainland’s most vibrant annual entertainment showcases.
From the red-carpet reception adorned with eye-catching sponsor displays to the electric atmosphere inside the venue, guests were immersed in an evening that blended comedy, music, dance, and dramatic performances.
The show featured iconic Nigerian comedian Ali Baba as headliner, delivering his trademark fusion of humour and insight. He was joined by fan favourites Kenny Blaq and Phronesis, whose musical comedy and rapid-fire jokes kept the hall roaring with laughter. The event’s seamless flow was anchored by charismatic host MC Husband Material (Eze Chuwudi), whose energy ensured the audience remained fully engaged.
The comedy roster also featured MC Bishop, Dr. Smile, MC Trick, Abadei, and 16 Onirun, all contributing to a memorable parade of humour that connected across generations.
Beyond comedy, the night celebrated artistic versatility. Gospel rapper Protech opened with a spirited performance, followed by a soothing rendition from CJ the Violinist. Mauren’s Art delivered an exhilarating dance routine that held the audience spellbound, while the vendor village outside offered food, drinks, fashion, and accessories that added to the festive mood.
Inside the main hall, guests enjoyed top-tier production featuring LED screens, crisp sound, and professional stage lighting—elements made possible through FirstBank Nigeria Limited’s support under its annual DecemberIssaVybe initiative, alongside backing from the Lagos State Government and LASAA.
As the show progressed, musicians like Oba Richie, Angelo, Switch, and Ozzy turned the stage into a concert arena with electrifying performances. But the peak of the evening came when music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia stepped out to a thunderous ovation.
Performing a medley of his greatest hits, 2Baba commanded the stage with the charisma and depth that have made him a legend. The audience sang along passionately, creating a communal moment of nostalgia and celebration. His interaction with fans, signature stage presence, and emotional delivery made his set the perfect climax.
2Baba’s performance was not just entertainment—it was a tribute to a legacy that has shaped Nigerian music across generations.
As the event wrapped up, attendees left with unforgettable memories of a night that effortlessly merged culture, creativity, and community spirit on the Lagos Mainland.
A FirstBank representative described the bank’s sponsorship as intentional:
“We supported the event because it was meticulously designed to embody the essence of the community’s talent and vibrancy. From the laughter to the music to the palpable energy in the room, it was the ultimate ‘DecemberIssaVybe’ experience. We are incredibly pleased with the outcome and appreciate the organisers, performers, and the wonderful people of Lagos who joined in the celebration.”
Mainland Laffs 3.0 once again proved why it remains a standout entertainment fixture—uniting artistry, storytelling, and shared joy in one unforgettable experience.
