Kaduna Customs Generates N14.6bn Revenue in Q4 2025, Records 35% Growth

The Kaduna Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has generated a total revenue of N14.68 billion in the last quarter of 2025, representing a 35 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2024.

This was disclosed by the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Sa’ad Hassan, during a press briefing held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the Command’s headquarters in Kabala Doki, Kaduna State.

According to Comptroller Hassan, the Command generated N14,686,256,270.40 between October and December 2025, surpassing the N10,862,852,247.71 recorded in the corresponding period of 2024, with a revenue increase of N3.82 billion.

He attributed the improved performance to the diligence, professionalism and commitment of officers and men of the Command, stressing that the achievement reflects Customs’ unwavering commitment to national economic growth.

Breaking down the revenue figures, the Area Controller revealed that the Command collected N5.16 billion in October, N3.83 billion in November, and N5.69 billion in December, noting that the steady rise demonstrates improved operational efficiency and compliance monitoring.

Comptroller Hassan stated that the Command would continue to implement measures aimed at improving revenue collection through synergy, stakeholder engagement and sustained dialogue with traders and local communities, while enforcing compliance with government fiscal policies.

He identified key factors responsible for the revenue success to include strong motivation from the Management of the Nigeria Customs Service and the continuous deployment of intelligence and reconnaissance by the Command’s compliance monitoring teams.

The Area Controller commended the dedication of officers and men of the Command, as well as the cooperation of key units such as the Customs Intelligence Unit, Valuation Unit and Customs Police Unit, whose prompt actions contributed significantly to the results recorded.

He further noted that the Command’s achievements align with the policy direction of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi (MFR, PhD), whose leadership is anchored on consolidation, collaboration and innovation.

While appreciating compliant traders, Comptroller Hassan urged factories and terminal operators to ensure the timely payment of excise duties, import duties and other statutory charges, assuring stakeholders of the Command’s continued commitment to its mandate as provided under the Nigeria Customs Service Act, 2023.

He expressed gratitude to the Comptroller-General of Customs and the Service Management for creating an enabling environment for operational success, while also appreciating stakeholders for their sustained collaboration and support.
