LSSTF Boosts Safety, Security with Operational Vehicles for LSSC and MOPOL 49

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has reinforced safety oversight and security operations across Lagos State with the donation of operational vehicles to the Lagos State Safety Commission (LSSC) and the Nigeria Police Mobile Force, MOPOL 49.

The presentation, aimed at enhancing mobility and operational effectiveness, underscores LSSTF’s continued commitment to supporting agencies responsible for public safety and security in the state.

At the Lagos State Safety Commission, a brand-new operational vehicle was handed over by the Director of Administration, LSSTF, on behalf of the Executive Secretary/CEO, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan. The vehicle was formally received by the Director General/CEO of LSSC, Mr. Mojola Olanrewaju Omololu.

Mr. Omololu expressed appreciation to the LSSTF, noting that the improved logistics would significantly strengthen the Commission’s capacity for safety inspections, enforcement of standards, and overall oversight. He added that the support would contribute meaningfully to safer working and living environments for residents across Lagos State.

In a related development, LSSTF also presented an operational vehicle to the Nigeria Police Mobile Force, MOPOL 49, to enhance the unit’s mobility and readiness for high-risk operations, including counterterrorism, anti-robbery assignments, and the protection of critical assets.

The vehicle was presented on behalf of Dr. Ogunsan by the Director of Administration, LSSTF, Mr. Degbola Lewis, and received by the Commanding Officer of MOPOL 49, ACP Oladunni Ayoola, MFR.

Responding, ACP Ayoola commended the LSSTF for its sustained support to security operations in Lagos State, describing the intervention as timely and impactful. He also presented a souvenir to the LSSTF CEO in recognition of his outstanding contributions and immense support to MOPOL 49.

MOPOL, the paramilitary and rapid response arm of the Nigeria Police Force, plays a critical role in maintaining public order, combating violent crimes, countering terrorism, and safeguarding strategic national assets.

The dual donations further highlight LSSTF’s strategic role in equipping key institutions to deliver safer communities and improved security outcomes for Lagos residents.
