Lagos — The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has donated an operational vehicle to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Lagos State Strategic Command, to strengthen the agency’s capacity in the fight against drug-related crimes across the state.
The donation underscores LSSTF’s ongoing commitment to supporting security and law enforcement agencies with critical logistics to enhance public safety. Speaking during the handover, the Administrative Director of LSSTF, Mr. Degbola Lewis, said the gesture reflects the Fund’s resolve to improve operational efficiency among security agencies in Lagos.
Lewis noted that the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of LSSTF, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, remains committed to providing essential logistical support that will enable security agencies to respond more effectively to emerging security challenges.
The vehicle was received on behalf of the NDLEA Lagos State Commander, ACGN Wali Liman Abubakar, by the Deputy Commander in charge of Administration and Logistics, DCN James E. Akogwu, who expressed appreciation for the support and assured that the vehicle would be deployed to enhance the command’s operational activities.
The donation is expected to further bolster NDLEA’s strategic efforts in tackling illicit drug trafficking and abuse within Lagos State.
