NAOSNP Celebrates Lagos Police Spokesperson SP Abimbola Adebisi on Birthday, Hails Professional Excellence

The National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) has congratulated the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Superintendent of Police Abimbola Adebisi, as she marks her birthday on Saturday, January 10, 2026, describing her as a model of professionalism, dedication and excellence in police communication.

In a congratulatory message, NAOSNP noted that SP Adebisi has distinguished herself as a dependable and articulate spokesperson whose conduct and performance continue to strengthen public confidence in policing across Lagos State, Nigeria’s commercial nerve centre and West Africa’s economic hub.

Since her appointment as PPRO of the Lagos State Police Command by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, SP Adebisi has brought renewed energy and professionalism to the Command’s public information management. Her posting, NAOSNP stated, was a strategic decision reflecting the confidence of the Police high command in her competence and capacity to manage communication in a complex and fast-paced security environment like Lagos.

Working under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, SP Adebisi has remained consistently visible, responsive and effective. She has demonstrated exceptional commitment across early-morning briefings, late-night operations, security engagements, shows of force and community-oriented programmes, reinforcing the Command’s transparency and accessibility.

NAOSNP commended her strong partnership with the Commissioner of Police, noting that she has played a key role in promptly and accurately projecting police operations, public advisories and security initiatives. Her unwavering presence at Command activities, regardless of timing or distance, underscores her strong work ethic and dedication to duty.

The Association also highlighted SP Adebisi’s impressive academic and professional background as a major asset to her role. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature (Education), a Postgraduate Diploma in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, and a Master’s degree in English Language. Her academic depth, combined with her communication skills, enables her to deliver messages that are clear, empathetic and aligned with modern community policing principles.

An Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), SP Adebisi is also a member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), the International Association of Women Police (IAWP) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), positioning her as a globally aware and professionally grounded police officer.

Her extensive professional training includes certifications in Child Protection from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, Accra, Ghana, as well as Human Rights, Psychology and Conflict Management. She has also completed the Advanced Detective Course at the Police Staff College, Jos, equipping her with a broad and holistic understanding of policing and public engagement.

SP Adebisi has previously served in key trust-based roles, including Police Public Relations Liaison Officer at the Special Protection Unit (SPU), Force Headquarters, Abuja; Staff Officer to the Deputy Inspector-General of Police (Operations); and Personal Assistant to the Commissioner of Police, SPU. These roles, NAOSNP noted, reflect her reliability, discretion and administrative competence.

As she marks another year, NAOSNP described SP Abimbola Adebisi as a reassuring voice to the public, a dependable bridge between the Police and the media, and a source of pride to the Nigeria Police Force.

The Association wished her continued good health, wisdom and greater accomplishments in her service to Lagos State and the nation.
