AIG Fayoade Decorates 144 Newly Promoted Officers at NPF Zone 2 Headquarters, Commends IGP Egbetokun



The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, AIG Adegoke Fayoade, has decorated 144 newly promoted officers with their new ranks, urging them to uphold discipline, professionalism, and respect for human rights in the discharge of their duties.

The officers, who were recently elevated from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II), were formally adorned with their new badges during a decoration ceremony held at the Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Lagos.

The event attracted colleagues, family members, and well-wishers who cheered as the beneficiaries received their new ranks in recognition of their service and dedication to duty.

Addressing the officers, AIG Fayoade described the promotions as well-deserved rewards for hard work, dedication, and professionalism. He emphasized that the new rank comes with greater responsibility and called on the officers to demonstrate renewed commitment to safeguarding lives and property within their areas of jurisdiction.

The AIG stressed the importance of discipline, community-oriented policing, and strict adherence to human rights standards, noting that public trust remains central to effective policing.



He also commended the Inspector-General of Police, , and the Police Service Commission for their commitment to motivating personnel through timely promotions. According to him, such initiatives serve as morale boosters and contribute significantly to improved service delivery across the Force.

The ceremony marked another milestone in the ongoing efforts to strengthen capacity and enhance operational efficiency within Zone 2 Command.
