 JMG Haulage Expands Fleet to Boost Nationwide Logistics and Transport Capacity

JMG Haulage, the logistics and haulage arm of JMG, has announced a significant fleet expansion aimed at strengthening its pan-Nigeria transport capacity and meeting rising demand across fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), beverage, and industrial supply chains.

The expansion reinforces JMG Haulage’s growing footprint in Nigeria’s logistics sector and underscores its ambition to remain a leading provider of reliable, large-scale haulage services nationwide.

Founded in 2019, JMG Haulage began operations with four trucks serving internal logistics needs and select third-party clients. Through consistent service delivery and operational efficiency, the company expanded its fleet to 31 heavy-duty and 16 light-duty trucks prior to the latest growth phase.

As part of the current expansion, JMG Haulage has added 20 new heavy-duty trucks, each configured as a 24-pallet unit with a payload capacity of up to 45 tonnes. The development significantly enhances the company’s long-haul and nationwide logistics capabilities, positioning it to support large-scale distribution operations across Nigeria.

The newly deployed fleet adopts a mixed-energy strategy to balance efficiency and sustainability. Ten of the trucks are Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered, offering a driving range of up to 1,400 kilometres, while the remaining ten diesel-powered trucks provide flexibility across diverse haulage routes and terrains.

Speaking on the development, Mohamad Dayekh, General Manager of JMG Haulage, described the expansion as a strategic milestone for the company.

“This fleet expansion allows us to scale our nationwide haulage and logistics capacity while maintaining high service standards, cost efficiency, and safety,” Dayekh said. “By investing in both CNG and diesel technologies, we are strengthening reliability for our customers today while preparing JMG Haulage for a more sustainable future.”

According to the company, the fleet rollout was completed in January 2026 following inspections, branding, driver deployment, and route optimisation. With the expansion, JMG Haulage expects its monthly operational mileage to rise from about 150,000 kilometres to 250,000 kilometres, improving delivery timelines, reducing turnaround times, and enabling the onboarding of new clients without service disruption.

Operating across major commercial corridors in the North, South, East, and West, JMG Haulage provides logistics solutions for a wide range of industries, including FMCG, agro-products, chemicals, cosmetics, electrical goods, generators, and industrial equipment.

The company noted that its operations are supported by dedicated maintenance teams, OEM-led technical training, preventive maintenance programmes, and strict monitoring of cost-per-kilometre metrics to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Looking ahead, JMG Haulage said it plans to expand into cold-chain logistics and increase investment in green haulage solutions, in line with global sustainability standards and its long-term growth strategy in Nigeria’s logistics and transport sector.
