The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, has paid glowing tribute to his predecessor, Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun, commending his impactful leadership and contributions to security development in Lagos as he celebrates his birthday on Monday, March 23, 2026.
The birthday celebration, reported by the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), highlighted Balogun’s legacy in strengthening the operational and institutional framework of the state’s security funding structure.
In a congratulatory message, Ogunsan described Balogun as a visionary administrator whose tenure significantly enhanced the operational capacity of the Trust Fund while deepening collaboration between the public and private sectors in supporting security initiatives across Lagos.
According to him, Balogun’s leadership was marked by discipline, foresight, and a strong commitment to accountability—qualities that helped position the organisation as a vital component of Lagos State’s security architecture.
Ogunsan also praised the former Executive Secretary’s personal qualities, describing him as a principled leader whose impact continues to resonate beyond his years in office.
He further noted that under Balogun’s stewardship, the Trust Fund expanded its reach and strengthened its role in supporting security agencies with critical operational resources, thereby boosting stakeholder confidence in the sustainability of the initiative.
“Dr. Balogun’s legacy remains evident in the systems and structures that continue to drive our work today. His tenure entrenched innovative security funding mechanisms that have become a model for similar interventions across Nigeria,” Ogunsan said.
He added that during Balogun’s time in office, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund became a reference point for security intervention funding, consolidating its reputation as a model framework for other states.
Ogunsan concluded by wishing his predecessor continued good health, prosperity, and many more years of impactful service.
“As Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun celebrates his birthday today, I wish him fruitful years ahead, wellness of soul and body, and blessings upon his family and all that concerns him,” he said.
