In a turn of events, the immediate past Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Olorundare Jimoh, has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) and deployed to head the Zone 2 Police Command of the Nigeria Police Force.

The Zone 2 Police Headquarters, located in Onikan, is responsible for coordinating policing operations and providing strategic oversight for commands in Lagos State and Ogun State.
