Oluremi Tinubu Calls for Compassionate Leadership During Church Service at Lambeth Palace, London

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has called for global leadership guided by compassion and love while attending a church service at Lambeth Palace in London, during the state visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the United Kingdom.

The First Lady made the call during a special service at the historic residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury, located in London, where she emphasized the need for empathy-driven leadership in addressing global challenges.

Her visit formed part of engagements on the sidelines of the two-day state visit by Nigeria’s First Family to the United Kingdom. At the palace, Senator Tinubu was received by the Secretary-General of the Anglican Communion Worldwide, Anthony Poggo.

In a brief reflection during the service, the First Lady noted that navigating the complex challenges facing the world today requires more than policies and strategies, stressing that actions inspired by compassion and love are equally vital.

She also led special prayers for the British royal family and leaders across the world, seeking wisdom and guidance for those entrusted with leadership responsibilities.

Following the service, Senator Tinubu toured sections of Lambeth Palace and later met with officials from the Anglican Communion Office and members of the Anglican Alliance, a global network serving communities across 42 Anglican churches worldwide.

The visit concluded with the First Lady signing the palace’s visitor’s register before departing the historic residence.
