Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Chairman Aroyewun Celebrated as Exceptional Leader on Birthday
Tributes have poured in for the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, as his Chief Press Secretary, Oluwaseun Ajayi, described him as an exceptional leader whose blend of administrative competence and human compassion continues to redefine grassroots governance.
In a heartfelt birthday tribute, Ajayi highlighted Aroyewun’s distinctive leadership style, noting that in Nigeria’s often challenging political environment, he stands out for prioritising people-centered governance over mere policy execution.
According to him, the council boss has consistently demonstrated that leadership goes beyond projects and infrastructure, focusing instead on the welfare, dignity, and aspirations of the people he serves. He described Aroyewun as a hands-on administrator who devotes long hours to reviewing development plans, responding to emergencies, and engaging directly with constituents across all strata of society.
Ajayi further emphasised that Aroyewun’s compassion is deeply rooted in his leadership philosophy, as he treats the concerns of ordinary residents with the same level of importance as major governmental initiatives.
The tribute also underscored Aroyewun’s commitment to human capital development within his administration. Ajayi noted that the chairman has played a significant mentoring role, creating opportunities for professional growth among his team members.
“He challenges us to think critically, communicate effectively, and approach our responsibilities with a broader perspective,” Ajayi stated, adding that many staff members have experienced remarkable personal and professional development under Aroyewun’s guidance.
Describing the work environment fostered by the chairman, Ajayi said it is one where professionalism is balanced with empathy, and excellence is encouraged without intimidation. He noted that Aroyewun maintains a close relationship with his team, showing genuine concern for their well-being and fostering a sense of unity and belonging within the council.
Beyond internal administration, Ajayi pointed to tangible achievements recorded within the first eight months of Aroyewun’s tenure. These include improvements in infrastructure, increased access to healthcare, educational support initiatives, and economic empowerment programmes aimed at improving livelihoods within the LCDA.
He stressed that what distinguishes Aroyewun’s leadership is not only the projects delivered but the transparent and inclusive manner in which governance is carried out.
Ajayi concluded by praying for continued strength, wisdom, and greater accomplishments for the chairman, expressing optimism that his leadership would inspire a new generation of public office holders committed to service and integrity.
Residents and stakeholders across Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA have also joined in celebrating the chairman, commending his impact and expressing hope for sustained development under his administration.
