Lagos State Security Trust Fund Boss Ogunsan Urges Easter Sacrifice, Calls Support for Security Operatives in Lagos
The Executive Secretary/CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, has called on Lagosians and Nigerians to embrace sacrifice, compassion, and collective responsibility during the Easter season, while urging increased support for security personnel and their families.
In his Easter goodwill message, Ogunsan emphasized the significance of the season, describing the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the ultimate expression of sacrifice, love, and redemption for humanity.
He urged citizens to reflect these virtues in their daily lives by extending kindness to the vulnerable and contributing to the well-being of society.
“Easter is a time of sacrifice and giving. As we celebrate, let us extend love to the needy, support our security personnel, and contribute meaningfully to a safer society,” he said.
The LSSTF boss paid tribute to security operatives across Lagos State and Nigeria, commending their dedication and courage in safeguarding lives and property. He described them as “guardians of peace” whose sacrifices are often overlooked despite the critical role they play in maintaining national stability.
Ogunsan called on Nigerians to go beyond verbal appreciation by actively supporting security officers and their families, noting that such gestures would boost morale and strengthen the nation’s security framework.
He also encouraged Lagos residents to support security development efforts by making voluntary contributions to the LSSTF, highlighting the importance of sustained public-private partnership in enhancing the state’s security architecture.
Reaffirming the Fund’s commitment, Ogunsan assured that the LSSTF would continue to provide essential resources and logistical support to security agencies, ensuring that Lagos remains safe, secure, and conducive for economic growth.
