Seleem Adegunwa Wins Vanguard Industrialist of the Year Award, Reinforces Rite Foods’ FMCG Leadership
The Managing Director of Rite Foods Limited, Seleem Adegunwa, has been named “Industrialist of the Year” by Vanguard Media Limited, in recognition of his leadership and the company’s transformative impact on Nigeria’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
The award was presented at a ceremony held at the Convention Centre of Eko Hotel and Suites on April 24, 2026, drawing top business executives, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.
Adegunwa’s recognition follows years of strategic leadership that has positioned Rite Foods as a major disruptor in the FMCG landscape. Under his stewardship, the company has challenged established market players through innovation, competitive pricing, and a focus on consumer-driven product development.
Speaking at the event, Vanguard Editor, Eze Anaba, commended Adegunwa for driving expansion, strengthening nationwide distribution, and fostering a culture of continuous innovation within the organisation. He added that the company’s growth trajectory has also contributed to job creation across its production, logistics, and retail value chains.

he company’s Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Ekuma Eze, described the honour as a validation of Rite Foods’ commitment to excellence and innovation.

Rite Foods’ market growth has been largely driven by its expanding portfolio of consumer brands. Its Bigi range of carbonated soft drinks has gained significant traction, while Fearless Energy Drink has introduced innovative packaging formats within the segment. The company’s Sosa Fruit Drink and sausage offerings have also strengthened its position by aligning with changing consumer preferences for convenience and variety.
Beyond its product lines, the company has maintained strong visibility through strategic partnerships in the entertainment sector, notably its sponsorship of the popular reality show Nigerian Idol, where it has supported multiple seasons.
With a state-of-the-art production facility in Ososa, Ogun State, Rite Foods continues to expand its footprint, reinforcing its role as a key player in Nigeria’s manufacturing and consumer goods industry.
