In a remarkable display of unity and shared vision, the *National Rescue Movement (NRM)* has unanimously affirmed *Dr Esther Nkem Okereke*, a dynamic young businesswoman and philanthropist as its Presidential Candidate following the party's presidential primary election held on May 29, 2026, at Kam & Taverns Apartment in Abuja.
Dr. Okereke emerged victorious from a field of presidential aspirants through a consensus agreement widely applauded by party stakeholders as a testament to the NRM's commitment to unity, purpose, and national renewal.
Addressing delegates and supporters after her emergence, Dr. Okereke expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in her leadership and reaffirmed her commitment to building a prosperous and inclusive Nigeria. She described Nigeria as a nation endowed with immense greatness, abundant opportunities, and an extraordinary people capable of achieving remarkable progress.
According to her, while the country is presently confronted by numerous economic, social, and security challenges, hope remains alive. She emphasized that through her transformative *ESTHER Project*, Nigeria can reclaim its lost glory and embark on a new path of sustainable development, national unity, and shared prosperity.
"Nigeria will rise again," she declared passionately, drawing loud applause from delegates and party faithful who filled the venue with optimism and renewed determination.
Speaking at the event, the National Chairman of the NRM, *Prince Chinedu Obi*, reiterated the party's core values and mission. He stated that the National Rescue Movement was founded on the principles of sincerity, visionary governance, accountability, and the urgent need to rescue Nigeria from years of inconsistent leadership and infrastructural decay.
"The NRM remains committed to offering Nigerians a credible alternative founded on competence, integrity, and genuine national development," he said.
Also delivering remarks was *Dr. Ademola Joseph Onigbokun*, a United Kingdom-based presidential aspirant of the party. He stressed that the task of rebuilding Nigeria must be embraced by every patriotic citizen regardless of political affiliation, ethnicity, or religion.
