Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Launches Free Wellness Outreach for Residents

Residents of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area are set to benefit from a free healthcare initiative aimed at promoting preventive care and improving access to quality medical services at the grassroots level.

The wellness programme, organised under the council’s GLORY Agenda, is scheduled to hold on May 16, 2026, at AUD Primary School, Igbogbo, beginning from 10:00 a.m.

According to the council authority, the outreach is designed to bring affordable and accessible healthcare closer to residents, particularly those in Zone 1 of the LCDA.

Services to be offered during the outreach include free medical consultations, blood pressure and blood sugar tests, hepatitis screening, eye examinations, and wellness counselling, among others.

The council urged residents to take advantage of the initiative, stressing that good health remains essential to building a productive and thriving community.

The outreach forms part of the LCDA’s ongoing efforts to improve the wellbeing of residents through impactful community-based programmes.

“Your health matters. Come and benefit from this impactful initiative,” the statement added.

The council reaffirmed its commitment to people-oriented programmes with its popular slogan: “Ise gbogbo wa ni o.”
