Lagos 2027: APC Governorship Aspirant Ajose Advocates Inclusive Governance, Seeks Fair Primary Process
A Governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Dr. Samuel Mawuyon Ajose, has reiterated that his ambition to lead the state is driven by collective interest rather than personal gain, with a strong focus on addressing the developmental needs of Badagry.
Speaking during a live appearance on GBAGEDE ORO special edition on Rainbow 94.1FM, Ajose pledged to run an all-inclusive administration that would directly impact residents across the state, assuring that no community would be neglected if elected.
The business mogul-turned-politician emphasized that he harbours no personal grievances against the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Kadri Hamzat, but stressed the need for the party leadership to engage all aspirants before making any endorsement decision.
Ajose questioned the position of some party elders who had initially encouraged his ambition, only to later align with the Deputy Governor, noting that such actions raise concerns about internal fairness within the party.
He, however, reaffirmed his commitment to party unity, stating that he would accept the outcome of a free, fair, and transparent primary election conducted in line with the Electoral Act.
The governorship hopeful also reiterated his earlier promise to mobilise 3.5 million votes for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, claiming significant personal financial contributions toward promoting the President’s agenda across Lagos and the South-West region.
Ajose called on party leaders to consider what he described as years of neglect of Badagry by offering tangible political or developmental concessions to the area.
He further revealed that several attempts to secure an audience with the President had been unsuccessful.
Despite overtures from opposition parties at both the state and national levels urging him to pursue his ambition on their platforms, Ajose maintained that he remains loyal to the APC regardless of prevailing circumstances.
