 LSSTF Donates Bulletproof Vests, Helmets to NSCDC, Immigration Service in Lagos

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has donated bulletproof vests and ballistic helmets to the Lagos State Commands of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) as part of efforts to strengthen security operations and sustain peace across the state.

The Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of LSSTF, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, presented the protective gear to the Comptroller of the NIS Lagos Command, Mr. Christopher Olu Onajinrin, and the Commandant of the NSCDC Lagos State Command, Commandant Adedotun Keshinro.

According to the LSSTF, the NSCDC Lagos State Command received 30 units of bulletproof vests and ballistic helmets, while the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service received 20 units each of the protective kits.

Speaking during the presentation, Dr. Ogunsan reaffirmed the commitment of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund to supporting security agencies operating within the state with critical operational tools needed to tackle emerging security challenges effectively.

He noted that the donation formed part of ongoing efforts by the Fund to enhance personnel safety, improve operational capacity, and strengthen collaboration among security agencies in Lagos State.

Responding, Commandant Adedotun Keshinro of the NSCDC Lagos State Command described the gesture as unprecedented and commended the management of the LSSTF for its consistent support to security agencies.

Keshinro expressed appreciation to Dr. Ogunsan and the LSSTF management for what he described as a timely intervention, noting that the equipment would significantly boost the safety and operational effectiveness of officers and personnel of the command.

Similarly, the Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos Command, Mr. Christopher Olu Onajinrin, thanked the LSSTF for the donation and pledged the continued commitment of the command to maintaining security and effective border management in Lagos State.
