Over 500 Residents Benefit from PBAT/KOH Agege Eid Outreach

The PBAT/KOH Agege Executive Forum has distributed food items to more than 500 residents across Agege Local Government Area and Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area as part of activities marking the 2026 Eid Al-Adha celebration.

The humanitarian outreach, held on Tuesday at State Senior High School, Mulero/Oyewole Street, Agege, attracted hundreds of beneficiaries including elderly residents, community stakeholders, and families from different parts of the community.

Beneficiaries received various food items including bags of rice, groundnut oil, and seasoning cubes to support them during the festive period.

Speaking during the programme, the Convener of the PBAT/KOH Agege Executive Forum, Mr. Adeniran Samson Israel, said the initiative was inspired by the spirit of sacrifice, love, and compassion associated with Eid Al-Adha.

According to him, the forum remains committed to supporting grassroots communities through humanitarian programmes aimed at easing economic hardship and improving the welfare of residents.

He noted that community service and people-oriented interventions remain a core part of the forum’s vision, stressing that festive celebrations should also serve as opportunities to support vulnerable members of society.

“This outreach is part of our commitment to staying connected with the grassroots and ensuring that families celebrate the season with joy and dignity,” he said.

Mr. Adeniran further explained that the exercise was organised to promote unity, peaceful coexistence, and communal harmony among residents of Agege and Orile-Agege.

One of the beneficiaries, Chief Mrs. Kemi Taiwo, the Iyalaje of Orile-Agege, commended the organisers for the initiative and described the gesture as timely and impactful.

She appreciated the forum for demonstrating concern for the welfare of ordinary residents and prayed for continued success and growth for the organisation.

Several other beneficiaries also expressed gratitude to the PBAT/KOH Agege Executive Forum for the support, applauding the organisers for their generosity and commitment to community development.
