Abuja Big Boy, Alhaji Dauda Ismail Mameh (aka Chamama) Declares Bid for FCT Senate Seat

Prominent Abuja businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Dauda Ismail Mameh, popularly known as Chamama, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Senatorial seat of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the forthcoming National Assembly elections.

Widely recognized across Abuja for his entrepreneurial influence and vibrant social presence, Chamama is the founder of the Chamama Business Group, a fast-growing enterprise with interests spanning real estate, automobile trading, entertainment, hospitality, and lifestyle development.

 Over the years, he has built a reputation as a grassroots-oriented businessman with strong connections to the people, especially among the youth and business community within the FCT.

Speaking during his declaration, Chamama emphasized that his decision to contest for the Senate is driven by his passion for the development of Abuja and the welfare of its residents.

According to him, the FCT deserves purposeful representation that understands the realities, struggles, and aspirations of the people.

“My FCT, My Home. Abuja has given me opportunities, growth, and identity. This is the time to give back through quality representation, empowerment, and people-focused leadership,” he stated.

Chamama revealed that although he had earlier expressed interest in contesting for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he has decided to temporarily set aside that ambition in order to first serve and represent his immediate constituency at the national level.

He noted that true national leadership begins with grassroots service and direct engagement with the people.

His Senate ambition is expected to focus on:

Youth empowerment and entrepreneurship

Economic development and investment opportunities

Improved infrastructure within the FCT

Support for small businesses and creatives

Social welfare and community development

Greater inclusion of indigenous communities in governance

Supporters and political observers have described Chamama’s entry into the race as a major development in FCT politics, especially considering his influence among Abuja youths, entrepreneurs, entertainers, and grassroots networks.
