Promasidor Nigeria Marks International Day of Families, Calls for Stronger Child Wellbeing and Reduced Inequality

Promasidor Nigeria has joined the global commemoration of the 2026 International Day of Families, urging stronger support systems that promote child wellbeing and reduce inequality affecting households across the country.

This year’s observance, themed “Families, Inequalities and Child Wellbeing,” draws attention to persistent gaps in access to nutrition, education, healthcare, and opportunity—challenges that continue to impact children and shape long-term development outcomes.

In a statement, Promasidor Nigeria said its participation in the global awareness day reflects its ongoing commitment to family nutrition and social development, beyond its core commercial operations.

Chief Executive Officer of Promasidor Nigeria, François Gillet, said families remain central to national progress, stressing that child wellbeing is a direct reflection of how well societies support their most vulnerable populations.

“Families are the foundation of every society, and the well-being of children reflects the strength of that foundation. Addressing inequalities that limit access to proper nutrition and care is not only important, but essential to sustainable development,” he said.
