President Tinubu Approves N15.7bn Pacific Road Project as Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Chairman Praises Babajimi Benson

The Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has commended the member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Babajimi Adegoke Benson, following the Federal Government's approval of the N15.7 billion Pacific Road project linking Igbe Laara Bus Stop.


The Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has praised the member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, over the Federal Government's approval of the N15.7 billion Pacific Road project linking Igbe Laara Bus Stop.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Chairman's Chief Press Secretary, Oluwaseun Ajayi, the road project received approval from President  under Project Track Reference ERGP12247885.

Aroyewun described the approval as a major milestone in the constituency's infrastructural development, saying it further reflects Benson's commitment to attracting federal projects to Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

He said the Pacific Road project extends beyond road construction, noting that it would improve connectivity and contribute to the socio-economic development of communities within the constituency.

The council chairman also highlighted what he described as Benson's track record in facilitating projects in road infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth empowerment and other community development initiatives.

"Hon. Babajimi Benson is not just our representative at the federal level; he has become a symbol of purposeful and people-centred leadership. His developmental footprint is visible across our communities, from critical road infrastructure to educational interventions, healthcare programmes, youth empowerment initiatives and strategic advocacy at the National Assembly," Aroyewun said.

He added that the federal lawmaker's interventions had positively impacted residents across Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and the wider Ikorodu Federal Constituency, describing his style of representation as responsive and development-focused.

According to Aroyewun, Benson has approached public office with diligence and integrity, prioritising projects that directly improve the welfare of constituents.

The chairman further stated that the lawmaker's efforts have increased the visibility of Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the national level through investments in infrastructure, healthcare, education, youth development and social welfare.

He also argued that beyond physical projects, Benson's representation has strengthened public confidence in governance by demonstrating that effective representation can deliver measurable benefits to the people.

Aroyewun expressed appreciation to the lawmaker on behalf of the leadership and residents of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA for what he described as his steadfast commitment to development, unity and inclusive progress.

He also commended Benson for continuing to represent the interests of Ikorodu Division and for facilitating projects aimed at improving the living conditions of residents across the constituency.
