Fearless Energy Drink Powers Portable, Charles Okocha Rematch Ahead of 'Chaos in the Ring'

LAGOS, Nigeria – Excitement is building ahead of the highly anticipated celebrity boxing showdown, Chaos in the Ring, as popular Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, and actor-comedian Charles Okocha came face-to-face during a tense pre-fight press conference in Lagos.

The celebrity bout, sponsored by Fearless Energy Drink, a flagship brand of Rite Foods Limited, is scheduled to hold on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The atmosphere at the press conference was charged as both entertainers exchanged words during an intense stare-down, rekindling a rivalry that began in December 2023 when they first met in the ring at Landmark Beach, Victoria Island.

Confident of repeating his previous victory, Portable taunted his opponent, saying, "You don chop am before... you go chop am again," suggesting history would repeat itself.

Charles Okocha, however, remained composed and responded with confidence, dismissing Portable's remarks by saying, "This chicken leg… let's see how it goes on Friday," as he vowed to overturn the outcome of their previous encounter.

The fight is expected to draw entertainment enthusiasts and sports fans from across the country, with many eager to see who emerges victorious in what organisers have described as a thrilling clash of celebrity personalities.

As the headline sponsor, Fearless Energy Drink says it is bringing its signature spirit of courage, determination and positive energy to the event. The brand, known for introducing PET bottle packaging into Nigeria's energy drink market with its Fearless Classic and Fearless Red Berry variants, says the partnership reflects its commitment to supporting bold lifestyle experiences.

Speaking at the press conference, Brand Manager of Fearless Energy Drink at Rite Foods Limited, Olaniyi Aderuku, said the sponsorship aligns with the brand's philosophy of inspiring consumers to embrace boldness, action and the confidence to pursue success.

According to him, Chaos in the Ring provides another platform for the brand to connect with consumers while celebrating resilience, courage and healthy competition.

Also speaking, Group Chief Executive Officer of Balmoral Group, Ezekiel Adamu, described the event as an avenue to promote African talent, create opportunities for young entertainers and athletes, attract international partnerships, and strengthen the continent's sports entertainment ecosystem.

Beyond the headline clash between Portable and Charles Okocha, the event will feature other exciting bouts, including Idowest versus Mr Real, Great Britain's Shiloh Defreitas ("Sugar Shy") against Ghana's Eric "Kojo" Quarm, Rilwan Lawal versus Yusuf Adeniji, and Basit Adebayo of Nigeria taking on Tanzania's Said Chino.

With the intense exchanges already witnessed at the pre-fight press conference, expectations are high that Chaos in the Ring will deliver an entertaining spectacle for boxing fans and followers of Nigeria's entertainment industry.
