Interswitch Named Among CNBC, Statista's World's Top Fintech Companies for Second Straight Year

Interswitch, one of Africa's leading integrated payments and digital commerce companies, has been recognised by CNBC and Statista as one of the World's Top Fintech Companies 2026 for the second consecutive year, earning a place in the global Payments category.

LAGOS – Interswitch has secured a place on the CNBC and Statista World's Top Fintech Companies 2026 ranking for the second consecutive year, reinforcing its position as one of Africa's leading digital payments and financial technology companies.

The company was recognised in the Payments category of the prestigious annual ranking, which highlights 500 of the world's top fintech firms across nine market segments.

Compiled by CNBC in partnership with global market research firm Statista, the ranking was drawn from an assessment of more than 3,500 eligible fintech companies worldwide. The selection process considered independent research, market performance, product innovation, business impact, and industry data.

The recognition places Interswitch among a select group of African fintech companies acknowledged globally for advancing digital payments and financial services through resilient infrastructure and innovative solutions.

Speaking on the achievement, Founder and Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Interswitch Group, Mitchell Elegbe, described the recognition as an affirmation of the company's long-term vision and commitment to innovation.
