Nestlé Nigeria Honours 16 Top Distributors, Rewards Outstanding Performance With Distribution Trucks
Nestlé Nigeria Plc has recognised 16 outstanding distributor partners for their exceptional business performance, rewarding each with a new distribution truck as part of efforts to strengthen its nationwide distribution network and reinforce its commitment to shared growth across Nigeria's retail value chain.
The company said the recognition celebrates long-standing partnerships that have helped ensure the consistent availability of Nestlé products across the country while creating shared value through stronger businesses, expanded market reach and improved access to trusted food and beverage brands.
According to Nestlé Nigeria, the award recipients were selected based on their outstanding national sell-out contribution and their achievement of consecutive volume growth in both 2024 and 2025 despite prevailing economic challenges, including inflationary pressures, foreign exchange volatility and changing consumer purchasing patterns.
The company noted that the award highlights the resilience, adaptability and collaboration demonstrated by the distributors in sustaining business growth while continuing to serve retailers and consumers nationwide.
As part of the recognition, each of the 16 distributors received a new distribution truck to boost logistics capacity and operational efficiency. Nestlé said the initiative aligns with its broader strategy of strengthening its distributor network through investments in distribution infrastructure, inventory management systems, operational support and other business-enhancing initiatives.
Nestlé Nigeria currently works with more than 200 distributor partners whose businesses collectively serve over 200,000 retailers across the country, ensuring that millions of consumers have access to its products daily. The company said the network also supports thousands of Nigerian businesses and entrepreneurs while sustaining economic activities within communities and strengthening the wider retail and logistics ecosystem.
Speaking during the recognition ceremony, Commercial Manager of Nestlé Nigeria Plc, Boladale Odunlami, described distributors as critical partners in the company's success.
"At Nestlé Nigeria, we believe our success is closely linked to the success of our partners. Our distributors play a critical role in ensuring that consumers across the country can access the products they know and trust every day," she said.
Odunlami added that the company remains committed to investing in the growth and capabilities of its distributors, noting that the recognition reflects both the distributors' resilience and Nestlé's long-term commitment to building a stronger and more resilient value chain.
Beyond the overall awards, two of the 16 distributors received special recognition for exceptional business recovery in 2025 after successfully returning to growth despite the challenging operating environment.
Responding on behalf of the award recipients, Chairman of SEDDT Nigeria Limited, Alhaja M.D. Jolaosho, described the recognition as a strong motivation to continue investing in business growth and customer service.
"Running a distribution business isn't easy, and sustaining growth year after year takes the commitment of our entire team. We're honoured to be recognised by Nestlé for that effort. This recognition motivates us to keep investing in our business, serving our customers even better and continuing the strong partnership we've built over the years," Jolaosho said.
Nestlé Nigeria reiterated that its continued investments across its value chain—from suppliers and distributors to retailers—are aimed at strengthening Nigerian businesses and entrepreneurs while improving access to quality, nutritious food and beverages and creating sustainable economic value across communities.
