Airtel Africa CEO Commissions Premium Experience Centres in Lagos as Retail Expansion Gathers Pace
LAGOS, Nigeria — August 26, 2026: Airtel Africa Group Chief Executive Officer, Sunil Taldar, has commissioned two new premium experience centres in Lagos as Airtel Nigeria steps up efforts to expand its customer service network and improve access to its growing range of connectivity solutions.
The newly commissioned centres are located at DAT Mall, Sangotedo, and Marina, Lagos, and form part of Airtel Nigeria’s plan to establish 500 premium experience centres across the country. More than 350 centres have already been launched nationwide.
Speaking at the commissioning, Taldar described Nigeria as one of the most important markets in Airtel Africa’s portfolio, reaffirming the company’s long-term commitment to investing in the country’s connectivity infrastructure, customer experience and economic potential.
He said the new centres would make it easier for customers to access Airtel’s products and services while reinforcing the company’s confidence in Nigeria and its people.
The premium experience centres provide customers with access to a broad range of consumer and enterprise services, including Outdoor Units (ODU), Fibre and Home Broadband solutions. They also offer subscription services, enquiries, after-sales support and assistance with service-related issues.
According to Airtel Nigeria Chief Executive Officer, Dinesh Balsingh, the retail expansion complements the company’s ongoing investments in network capacity and technology.
He explained that Airtel’s approach to quality of service extends beyond network performance to include product quality and the ease with which customers can access assistance.
Balsingh said the new centres provide a more convenient environment for customers to interact with the company, while also reflecting the changing nature of connectivity needs in Nigeria.
Beyond traditional mobile services, Airtel is increasingly offering broadband, Fibre, ODU and enterprise solutions to meet the evolving requirements of individuals, households and businesses.
The company currently operates more than 9,000 exclusive shops across all local government areas in Nigeria, alongside over 350 premium experience centres and more than 73,000 retailers in major towns and cities.
Airtel said customer feedback played a key role in shaping the premium retail model, particularly the need to bring services closer to customers and make routine transactions faster and more convenient.
The latest commissioning follows Airtel Nigeria’s announcement earlier in August of its rollout of 350 premium experience centres out of the 500 planned for the year.
The retail expansion is part of a broader customer experience strategy that includes digital self-service platforms, AI-powered customer support, nationwide customer forums and continued investments in network expansion.
With the opening of the Sangotedo and Marina centres, Airtel Nigeria is further strengthening its physical retail presence while seeking to deliver a more accessible, responsive and comprehensive customer experience to consumers and businesses across the country.
