City Boy Movement Removes Oyo Coordinator Ahmed Ajibola, Appoints Adewale Oladiti

LAGOS, Nigeria – The City Boy Movement (CBM) has removed its Oyo State Coordinator, Ahmed Ajibola, over allegations of gross misconduct, insubordination and actions considered detrimental to the organisation, while announcing Hon. Adewale Oladiti as his replacement.

The decision followed disciplinary proceedings initiated after a petition was lodged against Ajibola. The Movement disclosed that it had earlier issued him a formal notice to show cause on June 2, 2026, requesting that he respond to a series of allegations within 48 hours.

According to the notice signed by the Director-General of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, Ajibola was accused of making abusive, insulting and derogatory remarks against the national leadership of the Movement, including the Director-General.

The petition further alleged that he made offensive comments about the Movement's Patron, Barr. Seyi Tinubu, directed derogatory remarks at President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, engaged in acts of insubordination and disrespect toward constituted authority, and challenged a state leader of the Movement to a physical confrontation.

He was also accused of creating division and factionalisation within the Oyo State chapter and engaging in conduct capable of bringing the image and reputation of the City Boy Movement into disrepute.

The Movement stated that the allegations formed the basis of the disciplinary action that culminated in his removal as the Oyo State Coordinator.

Meanwhile, the organisation has appointed Hon. Adewale Oladiti as the new Oyo State Coordinator.

In his appointment letter dated August 6, 2026, the Movement said Oladiti was selected in recognition of his commitment, grassroots mobilisation efforts and dedication to advancing the objectives of the organisation in Oyo State.

The appointment letter further clarified that the State Coordinator reports directly to the Oyo State Director of the City Boy Movement and operates under the Director's authority, supervision and overall leadership.

It added that the State Director remains the principal head and chief coordinating authority of the Movement in Oyo State.

The announcement was endorsed by the Director-General of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, on August 6, 2026.
