Dangote Refinery Cuts PMS Price by N50, Diesel by N80 Per Litre

 Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a fresh reduction in the ex-depot prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, and Automotive Gas Oil (Diesel), lowering the prices by N50 and N80 per litre respectively as part of efforts to make refined petroleum products more affordable for Nigerians.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery said the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) has been reduced from N1,215 per litre to N1,165 per litre, representing a N50 reduction.

The refinery also announced a cut in the ex-depot price of Automotive Gas Oil (Diesel), reducing it from N1,650 per litre to N1,570 per litre, a decrease of N80 per litre.

According to the company, the latest price adjustment reflects its commitment to providing affordable, high-quality petroleum products to the Nigerian market while enhancing access to refined fuels for consumers and businesses.

Dangote Refinery stated that the reduction is aimed at improving energy affordability, supporting economic activities across the country, and ensuring a stable supply of petroleum products through increased operational efficiency.

The company noted that it remains committed to delivering value to consumers, businesses and other stakeholders by leveraging operational improvements to reduce costs whenever market conditions permit.

As Africa's largest refinery, Dangote Petroleum Refinery said it continues to play a strategic role in strengthening Nigeria's energy security, reducing dependence on imported refined petroleum products and supporting the nation's economic growth through the supply of world-class fuels.

The refinery reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to Nigeria's economic development and passing the benefits of improved operational efficiencies on to consumers whenever feasible.
