Dongfeng Motors Donates Five More Vehicles to LSSTF, Pledges 10 by End of 2026
LAGOS, Nigeria — Dongfeng Motors of China has donated five additional pickup vehicles to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), bringing the automobile manufacturer’s total contribution to six vehicles and strengthening its support for security operations across Lagos State.
The latest donation was made in China by the Commercial Manager of Dongfeng Motors, Mrs. Tina, and received on behalf of the LSSTF by its Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan.
The vehicles are expected to be formally handed over to the LSSTF at the company’s showroom office in Lagos, Nigeria.
The latest intervention builds on an earlier vehicle donated by Dongfeng Motors to the Fund on February 6, 2026. With the five additional vehicles, the company’s total donation has now risen to six vehicles.
Dongfeng Motors has also pledged to increase its contribution to 10 vehicles before the end of 2026, further underscoring its commitment to supporting the state’s security architecture.
Receiving the donation, Ogunsan commended Dongfeng Motors for its continued support and commitment to enhancing safety and security in Lagos.
He expressed the LSSTF’s appreciation for the company’s partnership, assuring Dongfeng Motors that he would be a strong promoter of its business interests in Lagos.
The additional vehicles are expected to improve the mobility of security personnel, strengthen patrol operations and enhance response capabilities across the state.
The LSSTF has continued to support security agencies in Lagos through the provision of operational vehicles, equipment, logistics and capacity-building initiatives aimed at improving their effectiveness.
The partnership with Dongfeng Motors also reflects the Fund’s growing efforts to mobilise support from international partners and the private sector to address the operational needs of security agencies in Lagos.
For the LSSTF, the donation represents more than an expansion of its operational fleet. It highlights the importance of sustained collaboration among government, businesses and international partners in strengthening the institutions responsible for protecting lives, property and economic activities across Lagos.
