Lagos, Nigeria — Nigeria’s premier cooking competition, MasterChef Nigeria, is set to expand its national reach with its debut on the NTA Network on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.

The programme will also air as a repeat every Saturday at 10:30 a.m., giving millions of viewers across the country an opportunity to experience the culinary competition, which has already attracted significant audience attention on other platforms.

Produced by Primedia Group, MasterChef Nigeria combines culinary competition with the celebration of Nigeria’s diverse food culture while providing a platform for aspiring chefs to develop their skills and pursue opportunities within the food and hospitality industry.

The new season features renowned chefs Chef Stone and Chef Eros as judges. They will assess contestants through a series of challenges designed to test their creativity, technical skills, teamwork and ability to perform under pressure.

Contestants will compete in Challenges, Pressure Tests, Team Challenges and Elimination Rounds for a prize package valued at ₦73 million.

Beyond the competition, the programme is expected to showcase stories of determination, resilience and personal transformation, highlighting contestants who are pursuing their culinary ambitions and seeking to turn their talents into sustainable careers.
