The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has felicitated Muslim faithful across Nigeria on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Maulud, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

In a goodwill message, the Commission urged Nigerians to draw inspiration from the life and teachings of the Prophet, particularly his virtues of peace, compassion, mutual respect and service to humanity.

The NCC noted that Eid-el-Maulud, which is observed as a public holiday in Nigeria, is celebrated by Muslims in different parts of the world as an opportunity to reflect on the teachings and exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

The Commission emphasised the importance of promoting peaceful coexistence, tolerance and unity, describing these values as essential to national development and progress.

The NCC wished Muslim faithful across the country a peaceful and meaningful Eid-el-Maulud celebration, while encouraging Nigerians to remain committed to harmony, mutual respect and the collective development of the nation.
