Today, I join family, friends, associates, political leaders, colleagues and well-wishers across Nigeria to celebrate a remarkable statesman, leader, mentor and father figure, Senator Anthony Adefuye, on the occasion of his 82nd birthday.

At 82, Senator Adefuye’s life represents decades of service, leadership, sacrifice and commitment to the growth of people and society. As a respected member of the Lagos State Governors’ Advisory Council (GAC), a political leader and elder statesman, he has continued to demonstrate that true leadership is not only about positions held, but about the lives touched, people empowered and legacies built.

For me personally, however, Senator Anthony Adefuye is much more than a political leader or elder statesman. He is a father, mentor, patron and dependable pillar of support.

As the Patron of Integrity Communications and Publishing Ltd, publishers of Integrity News/TV, Senator Adefuye has played a significant role in the growth and development of my media business. His support, encouragement, counsel and fatherly guidance have been invaluable to me and the entire team.

There are moments in every entrepreneur’s journey when encouragement from the right person can make all the difference. Senator Adefuye has been that person for me. His belief in what I do, his willingness to support my aspirations and his constant encouragement have given me greater confidence to pursue excellence and remain committed to the ideals of responsible journalism.

His role in the growth of Integrity Communications and Publishing Ltd is therefore something I will always hold in high regard. I deeply appreciate the confidence he has reposed in me and the organisation, as well as the opportunities, guidance and encouragement he has provided over the years.

Beyond business and professional support, I am particularly grateful for his fatherly disposition. His words of wisdom, guidance and concern have consistently reminded me of the importance of integrity, perseverance, humility and service.

At a time when genuine mentorship is becoming increasingly rare, Senator Adefuye has demonstrated what it means to lift others, open doors and encourage younger people to pursue their dreams.

Sir, as you celebrate your 82nd birthday today, I celebrate not only the politician and leader, but the man behind the title—the father, mentor, patron, encourager and nation-builder.
