 Aroyewun Celebrates Hamzat at 62, Hails Lagos Deputy Governor’s Leadership, Service

The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’oba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has congratulated Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, on his birthday, describing him as a consummate professional, astute politician and exceptional leader whose contributions have significantly advanced the development of Lagos State.

In a congratulatory message issued to mark Hamzat’s birthday, Aroyewun joined millions of Lagosians and well-wishers in celebrating the Deputy Governor, whom he described as a gifted orator, intellectual and seasoned administrator with immense wisdom.

Aroyewun said Hamzat represents a rare combination of technocratic expertise and political experience, noting that his humility, dedication to public service and commitment to collective success have distinguished him as a leader.

According to him, Hamzat’s more than two decades of service to Lagos State have contributed immensely to the growth and development of the state.

“Your Excellency, sir, you are a rare blend, combining the sharp professionalism of a technocrat with the deep wisdom of a seasoned politician. Yet, despite your monumental achievements, you remain profoundly humble, deeply dedicated to service, and always ready to elevate the team rather than seek individual praise.

“These are the hallmarks of a great leader,” Aroyewun said.

The council chairman expressed confidence in Hamzat’s capacity to provide effective leadership as Lagos prepares for what he described as its next chapter.

He said Hamzat’s track record, character and commitment to service give Lagosians reason to remain confident in his leadership capabilities.

Aroyewun, on behalf of the people of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, prayed for God’s continued protection, long life, sound health, renewed strength and wisdom for the Deputy Governor.

He also wished Hamzat divine favour in the new year of his life and success in his political aspirations.

“May God grant you long life, sound health, renewed strength, and the wisdom to lead Lagos to even greater heights.

“May this new year of your life be filled with divine favour, and may your mandate for 2027 be sealed with the resounding victory and support of all Lagosians,” he added.

The council chairman concluded by reaffirming his respect and loyalty to the Deputy Governor, while wishing him a happy birthday.
