From Nigerian Roots to the American Flag: Victoria Oluwakotanmi to Represent USA at Miss Grand International 2026
From the Nigerian-American community to the global beauty stage, Victoria Oluwakotanmi is taking a remarkable story of heritage, service and purpose to the world.
Born in the United States to Nigerian immigrant parents, Victoria is a proud first-generation Nigerian American who carries her Nigerian roots while proudly calling America home. Today, she serves as a Logistics Specialist in the United States Navy—a career that has instilled in her the discipline, courage and resilience she now brings to the pageant stage.
Victoria has been crowned Miss Grand USA 2026 and will represent the United States at the Miss Grand International 2026 finals in New Delhi, India, on October 10, 2026.
For Victoria, the competition is about more than beauty or a crown. It is an opportunity to represent service, culture, diversity and purpose, while sharing the inspiring story of a daughter of Nigerian immigrants who has risen to serve the nation of her birth.
“I am African by heritage, American by birth, a sailor by service, and a queen by purpose,” Victoria says.
As she prepares for the international stage, she is calling on supporters in Nigeria, the United States and around the world to join her journey by following, engaging with and sharing her story.
Her journey is a powerful reminder that where we come from can become part of the strength with which we face the world.
