Governor Soludo Signs N606.9 Billion 2025 Budget into Law, Prioritizes Infrastructure and Development
Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has signed the 2025 budget of N606.9 billion into law, reaffirming his administration's commitment to transforming the state into a hub for investment and business.
The budget, tagged "Changing Gears 2.0," aims to accelerate progress in critical sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, roads, and security. Governor Soludo emphasized that the budget is designed to drive the comprehensive development of the state, with a full implementation strategy in place.
According to a statement from the Governor's Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the budget reflects the administration's vision of building a prosperous future for the people of Anambra.
“With the budget now signed into law, ministries, departments, and agencies can immediately commence the implementation of programs designed to actualize this vision,” Soludo stated.
During the signing ceremony, the governor commended the State Executive Council, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, and other legislators for their dedication and collaboration throughout the budgetary process.
The event was attended by Deputy Governor Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, legislative leaders, members of the State Executive Council, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, and representatives of civil society organizations.
Governor Soludo reiterated his administration’s unwavering focus on delivering sustainable development to improve the lives of Anambra residents.
