Soludo Delivers on Road Construction Promise to Anambra West LGA

In a significant stride toward modernizing Anambra State's infrastructure, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has fulfilled his pledge to the people of Anambra West Local Government Area (LGA) with the completion of the 11.9-kilometer Mmiata-Anam-Nzam road. The newly constructed road now provides seamless access to the local government headquarters, fostering improved connectivity, trade, and economic activities in the region.

During an inspection of the project, Governor Soludo reminded residents of his earlier commitment. “I promised Ndi Anambra West that if I failed to construct this road to your headquarters, you should stone me if I ever return to campaign or ask for your support,” he said. The governor expressed pride in delivering on this promise, underscoring his administration's focus on impactful governance.

The completed road forms part of Soludo’s ambitious infrastructure development agenda. Over the past 30 months, the administration has asphalted approximately 310 kilometers of roads, ensuring projects are executed with exceptional quality.

Among other ongoing infrastructure projects, the Ekwulobia flyover and bus terminal are nearing completion. The administration is also dualizing key federal highways, including the 34-kilometer stretch from Amawbia through Agulu, Ekwulobia, and Uga to the Imo State border, as well as the 36-kilometer Nwagu Agulu-Nnobi-Nnewi-Ozubulu-Okija axis, linking to the Onitsha-Owerri expressway. These projects are set to transform transportation in the state.

Governor Soludo's vision of redefining governance and unlocking Anambra State’s vast economic potential was also underscored at the recently concluded 2024 Anambra State Investment Summit. The summit showcased the state as a land of boundless opportunities for investors, solidifying its position as a destination for sustainable development.

With these transformative projects, the Soludo administration is paving the way for a modern, economically vibrant Anambra State.
