Nigeria Maritime Journalists Postpone CGC Award Dinner

Nigeria Maritime Journalists Postpone CGC Award Dinner

The Nigeria Maritime Journalists (NMJ), a professional body comprising media practitioners in the maritime sector, has announced the postponement of the award dinner initially scheduled for Thursday, January 16, 2024.

The event was designed to honor the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, for his remarkable achievements in trade facilitation, seamless interagency collaboration, and record-breaking revenue generation.

In a statement issued by the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Dele Aderibigbe, the postponement was attributed to unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of the organisers.

While apologizing for the inconvenience the rescheduling may have caused the invited guests, the committee assured the public that a new date for the event would be announced soon.

The NMJ expressed its commitment to celebrating excellence in the maritime sector and reaffirmed its determination to host a befitting event to honor the Comptroller General’s accomplishments.

Signed,
Dele Aderibigbe
Chairman, Planning Committee
