Soludo Congratulates Mark Okoye on Senate Confirmation as Pioneer MD of SEDC

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has congratulated Mr. Mark Okoye on his confirmation by the Senate as the pioneer Managing Director of the South East Development Commission (SEDC).

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Okoye, describing the move as a significant step toward fostering development in the Southeast region.

The governor lauded Okoye’s exceptional qualifications, citing his extensive experience in investment banking and public service. Okoye previously served as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) and as the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning in the state.

"Mark Okoye’s wealth of experience and commitment to public service make him an ideal choice for this critical role. I am confident that his leadership will drive impactful development initiatives that will transform the Southeast region," Soludo said.

The governor also extended his best wishes to the Chairman and Members of the SEDC governing board, who were also confirmed by the Senate, expressing optimism about their collective efforts to bring sustainable development to the region.

Soludo concluded by wishing Okoye wisdom and success in his new position, emphasizing the importance of the SEDC’s mandate in advancing the socio-economic growth of the Southeast.
