Oyo Govt Converts 1,591 Local Government Ad-hoc Workers to Permanent Staff

...Appointment Letters Ready for Collection from Monday

The Oyo State Government has officially converted 1,591 ad-hoc workers in the state’s 33 Local Government Councils to permanent staff. This move follows Governor Seyi Makinde’s approval in October 2024 to strengthen the local government workforce.

Announcing the development on Friday, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Ademola Ojo, confirmed that appointment letters for the newly converted staff are ready for collection.

He emphasized that the recruitment process was conducted transparently and in compliance with due process. Successful candidates are expected to collect their appointment letters from the Local Government Service Commission between Monday, February 3, and Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily.

Hon. Ojo stressed that collection by proxy is strictly prohibited. He congratulated the beneficiaries and encouraged them to remain dedicated to their duties.
