Okpoko Agog as Soludo Commissions Roads and General Hospital

Okpoko, Anambra State – Residents of Okpoko in Ogbaru Local Government Area erupted in celebration as Governor Charles Soludo commissioned two major road projects and a newly built General Hospital, marking a significant milestone in his administration’s urban renewal agenda.

The roads inaugurated on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, include the 1.345km Union Street-Ojoto Street-Adazi Ani-Owerri Road and the 2.9km Mgbuka-Amazu-Emekekwe Road. With these, the Soludo administration has completed 15.623km of roads in Okpoko, while an additional 3.467km of internal roads remain under construction. Upon completion, Okpoko will boast a total of 19.9km of newly tarred roads, transforming what was once an impassable and neglected urban slum into a modern, accessible community.

A New Era for Okpoko

According to reports by Mazi Ejimofor Opara, the road projects are just one part of Governor Soludo’s broader vision for Okpoko’s development.

"Soludo is not just constructing roads to connect people who were left behind, he is giving them water, electricity, quality healthcare, free quality education, and even more. He has lifted the downtrodden in Okpoko and brought light to a place once overwhelmed by darkness," Opara stated.

In furthering his commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure, Soludo also commissioned Okpoko’s first-ever General Hospital, a groundbreaking project aimed at providing quality healthcare services to the people.

Health Minister Commends Soludo’s Visionary Leadership

The newly built Okpoko General Hospital was commissioned by the Honourable Minister of Health, Professor Ali Pate, who praised Governor Soludo’s transformative leadership in Anambra’s healthcare sector.

"Governor Soludo’s efforts have reshaped the healthcare landscape in Anambra State. The Okpoko General Hospital stands as a shining example of his commitment to quality healthcare for all," Professor Pate remarked.
