The Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru Ramadan Lecture Series concluded with a grand finale at the Ikorodu Eid Prayer Ground, Ota-Ona, Ikorodu, bringing together over 1,500 Muslim faithful from across the district. The lecture series, which spanned 16 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), provided spiritual nourishment throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
At the event, Ramadan packages were distributed to attendees, while special prayers were offered for national leaders, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu,and other leaders at various levels.
Prominent Clerics Laud Senator Abiru’s Efforts
Islamic scholars and religious leaders commended Senator Abiru for organizing the lecture series, describing it as a significant initiative fostering unity and peaceful coexistence in the district.
The **Grand Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division, Fadhilat Sheikh Seifudeen Ayinla Ademoritan Olowooribi**, praised the Senator’s commitment to Islamic values and community development.
“Senator Abiru has a great pedigree in Ikorodu. He is following in his father’s footsteps, an eminent personality and a lover of Islam. We should thank God for him. He has done really well. May he not be weary,” Sheikh Olowooribi stated.
Similarly, the **Chief Imam of Oriwu Central Mosque, Fadhilat Sheikh Yahya Olorunoshebi Oshoala Ishola As-Samadaani**, acknowledged the impact of the lecture series in strengthening unity among Muslims.

Delivering the **keynote lecture**, **Sheikh Murtador Amokomowo (Imam Oba)** emphasized the importance of **unity as a fundamental tool for community development.** He urged Muslims to remain united and collectively advance their political, socio-economic, and religious interests.
“Almighty Allah expects Muslims to stand together in unity and promote causes that benefit the Ummah and the larger society,” he stated.

Representing Senator Abiru at the event, his **Special Adviser on Constituency Matters, Dr. (Otunba) Saheed Oladapo Ibikunle**, highlighted the significance of the lecture series beyond religious discussions.
